​Melanie Hinton is an accomplished Marketing and Communications Executive with a proven track record of driving transformative strategies across branding, corporate, and internal communications. Recognized as a visionary leader and brand architect, Melanie excels at translating complex business objectives into innovative, award-winning campaigns.

Throughout her career, Melanie has demonstrated expertise in market penetration, public and media relations, strategic communications, and crisis management. Her people-centric approach has positioned her as an exceptional leader in building high-performance teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve ambitious business goals.

Melanie's professional journey includes serving as Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the Transportation Intermediaries Association, where she successfully implemented branding initiatives, public relations campaigns, and marketing strategies to streamline organizational communications. Prior to TIA, she held leadership roles with the American Bus Association, Airlines for America, Association for Unmanned Vehicles International and the British Embassy in Washington, where she spearheaded efforts to elevate organizational visibility, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and manage multimillion-dollar budgets.


Melanie has been an influential spokesperson for the various organizations and industries in both trade and mainstream media. Melanie’s media appearances include Politico, The Hill, Roll Call, Washington Post, Washington Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CBS Mornings, Rolling Stone, Travel Weekly, USA Today, NPR, PBS NewsHour and more.

Melanie's contributions extend beyond her professional roles. She has actively volunteered as the Vice President of Communications for the National Charity League, served as parent liaison to the 2024 Parent Council and Booster Club at Mount Vernon High School and served as a Girl Scout leader.

A holder of a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from Duquesne University, Melanie also earned her certification as a Travel Industry Specialist from Indiana University–Purdue University. She is a proud member of ASAE and continues to champion innovative communication strategies that shape the future of the industries she serves.
